The ever increasing levels of obesity in our population are posing major risks to nursing staff and the carers of dependant obese patients.

 

As an aid to minimising the risks of injury to carers, Denyers have added an attendant-operated power drive to the popular XL26 series wheelchair, giving a new level of mobility to patients whose movements might otherwise be limited because of the inability of carers to push non-powered wheelchairs, particularly on slopes or where carers have limited strength themselves.

 

The wheelcahir has forward, backward and electronic brake, all controlled by a single attendant operated speed control.

 

The new power drive will available from normal Denyer outlets from mid-February.
